Is it possible yet to have Image based lighting and Sun on at the same time? Sometimes you just want to add some shadow from SU to your HDR Light.

To use the sun, you need to set the Illumination channel to use Active Sky.

Currently, no, the engine does not support that. However, you can do it physically by applying an image-based emitter to geometry in the scene.

Ah. Interesting. Like a light dome?

Depends on the situation, I've (before Maxwell had IBL) put whole scenes inside of a sphere (naturally, remember that normals must point inward), or other times, I've just put up billboards, visible through windows. Depending, you may want to use different Hide From flags for the geometry, since you don't want it blocking your sunlight.
