I agree, Silverlight should leave the room..

Now what can we ask more. Well not much I dare say, talking to JD.

But I would love a huge library of cars, trees, plants, people, furniture etc in mxs format. Mayby there is already lots available I don't know of. Any ideas, or a new thread maybe for info on good available models easy to import in Studio.

If you need this I think you will have to buy biblios, but mxs format is not so common one. I feel You will have to build it from obj or fbx files. Anyway thats what I do. Mxs anyone

It is just to allow you render with extensions (Grass is the only one currently used in this plugin) disabled globally, rather than disabling each one individually, only to re-enable them all again later.

Sorry, I don't want start new topic: is there a way to use in fire render layers? It is very useful turn of indirect illumination to setup illumination of the scene.

I don't think that is supported in the engine.

About the libraries,
We also have Modo so we can often import models that don't in Studio or Sketchup.

But we are a bit behind all the stuff that's available for 3DS and Vray. Especially for archviz. Just build environment with some trees all is fine in Sketchup, especially with the new mxs references. But when it comes to a lot of natural surroundings I feel we now no longer compete. Especially with the more expensive packages that generate a lot of the stuff we have to use components for, referenced or not.

Anyhow, the mxs reference option we now have makes a huge difference. I am converting a lot of the more simple componets as well into mxs files. Just to get rid of the amount of materials in SU. It makes working in SU a lot faster without these materials. I think it would be a good idea to have the resource site include a mxs model archive.

After updating I can't change the Max. Res. in FIRE - I can adjust the value in the setting dialog, but the FIRE-render's actual size doesn't change...

The only scenario in which that should happen is when the output resolution is smaller than the Max. Res. value. Is this possibly what you see happening there?

Nope.
I start a new SketchUp-file and draw eg. a box.
In the Camera-tab in the Maxwell Scene Manager I set the X-res to 3000px and the Y-res to 2000px.
When opening FIRE, it runs at 649 x 432 pixels.
Then I open the Engine Settings dialog by pressing the "gear"-button in the FIRE-window. The Max. Res. is set to "649".
I change the Max. Res. value to eg. 700 and press "Done". Nothing happens in the FIRE-window. By pressing the Update-button, the render re-starts but the image size stays at 649 x 432 pixels.
When I close an re-open the FIRE-window, it's ALWAYS reset to 649, regardless of other settings, proportions etc.
/Stefan

Thanks, I will see if I can reproduce that. Are you using a default template, or a customized one? Whatever the case could you please send me a copy of it?
