I believe you should aware there is a bug happen @ v2.7.

It happen when I export the sk model to mxs from sk8 to maxwell studio. for example, if there are three objects (one component), the screen will only show the first component. The rest of two objects which are same component as first one will disappear. However, it still there. you can find it in render result and fire.

therefore, if there are lots of components with tons of object, the studio screen will only show one component for each groups of objects.

However, this bug doesn't exist in older plug-in. If I export the file from sk 7 with v2.5 plug-in. I can open mxs from studio v2.7 and it works well.
So, I think the bug is in new sk export plug-in.

I dont know if I explain well. sorry about my poor english.

By default, only instances of the currently-selected object are displayed in Studio. To change instance display values for one session, right-click in Studio's Instances panel and adjust the settings:
  • Image
To change these settings permanently, see Studio > File > Preferences > Instances, as discussed here.

I still find similar problem after I follow your suggestion.
Some of the components still disappear at main studio screen.

This issue wont happen @ v2.5 plug-in. I test it with same file and just looks different.

The 2.5 plugin exports things somewhat differently, so we cannot say much based on that. The point is, if there are three (to use your example) instances of a component in your model, and you see all three in Maxwell Fire when you export the scene to Studio, but you only see one in the Studio viewport, then it has to be related to the display settings I mentioned above.

Either that, or you are looking at an unknown issue with Studio -- if you think that is the case, I would like to check it out. So I would need you to create a simple model that shows this and send it to me (jeremy at nextlimit dotcom). If you do that, please keep it as simple as possible, and send me both the .skp file, and an .mxs you have written from it.
