material problem

I'm still pretty new to SU8 - MR2, and I need some help with a problem I'm having with png-based materials. I am working on a plant-heavy rendering, and most of my objects I imported from the SU warehouse. MR then converts them to a material and the look fine. I attempted to create some of my own, with mixed results. here is what my SU looks like:

The yellow, red, and pink plants are all based on a png file with no background, that I imported into SU. The yellow one works fine, as you can see below:

but the red and pink plants have a white background, even though I created all 3 the same way. What gives?

I would need to see the images exactly as you are using (i.e. no extra jpeg compression, etc.) them to say for sure. You can obtain results similar to this when clip-mapping with a weight or mask map which does not use full 0,0,0 black or full 255,255,255 white for defining which portions are to be clipped.

Here are the 3 files.

I've done the clip mask before, and I might have to resort to that, it just was easier to do it this way, until I started having trouble.

Ok, so I recreated the file by saving as a different name, and re-imported it, and it works fine now:

You can see the original still there, but also the correctly functioning one. Not sure what happened, but seems like SU was holding onto an older version, even when I edited the original, saved over and re-imported.

Yes, the maps look fine, it must've been something else.
