Hello,

I am using Sketchup Pro 8.03177 and Maxwell v2 (plug-in 2.7.25).

For some reason I do not know, the Maxwell camera does not match the Sketchup camera except for one view.

If you use the link below to download the sketchup file, you will see that "Scene 1A" (the Sketchup view) will render accurately. But if you start Fire you can see the problem if you start to look around or move the view, the Maxwell camera will look in an unusual position that does not match the Sketchup screen. Plug-in settings for the camera are "viewport," so I am not sure what is wrong.

Please let me know if you can think of a solution
Thank you.

Thanks for the model, but I am not yet having any luck reproducing any such problem with it.

The only difference I can see is that by running the initial SketchUp 8 release, you are skipping out on 15 months-worth of SketchUp development. There were 5 maintenance releases for SU8, with the final Windows version being 8.0.16846; the version history can be found here. You can still download the current SketchUp 8 build here, and I'd probably recommending doing that, since SU8 has been twice superseded at this point in time (SU7, for example, is no longer available for download, as far as I know). Though there is no guarantee that running the current version will help with the issue are reporting, the plugin does not officially support running anything but the most current release of any version of SketchUp.

That said, perhaps you might also try reinstalling the plugin, in case there could be a mix of files from different versions. You can find per-version listings of the plugin files here; prior to reinstalling, make sure they have been deleted. And for good measure, you might want to use a freshly-downloaded plugin; the V2 plugin is still available for download from your account at https://portal.nextlimit.com.

Lastly, it would be possible for another plugin to be involved, so you might try disabling and/or temporarily uninstalling other plugins, restarting SketchUp, and checking whether you are still able to observe the issue. If so, please post some screenshots depicting how the discrepancy looks.

thanks JDHill, I've been using Rhino and Maxwell for the last couple of years and haven't kept sketchup current. Updating fixed the problem

Here are a couple of screenshots anyways since I already uploaded them. I just opened the file and then hit Fire, you can see the fire window renders something other than what I'm looking at in the viewport.
