Maxwell add-on adds 20+ seconds SW loading time

When I launch Solidworks, the splash screen stays at "Loading add-on: Maxwell for Solidworks" for at least 20 seconds. Is this normal? (Latest MW plugin, SW 2013).

No, so I guess you might first check whether the MXM Browser tab of the Database Manager is set to monitor a directory on an unavailable network location.
