Maxwell Render | Official public forum

I have created a Motion study and tried to render, however none of the animated parts are moving after they have been exported to Maxwell.
(All the MXS/MXI etc are being generated).

The preview in Solidworks shows everything moving as it should and the camera pans in Maxwell as per the preview. Has anyone else come across this problem?

Software versions are:
SoildWorks 2011 SP5.0 (the same problem in SP4.0) x64.
Maxwell 2.6.0.0 with Plugin 2.6.0.0

Turn-table animation works fine.

Sorry, yes, it looks like I broke this -- meshes are not being invalidated in-between frames. I'll post back if I find any workaround.

Thank for the fast reply and to confirm that I wasn't going mad!

I know that you have a million other jobs to sort, but did you get any luck with a work around for the motion study? I have a job that would be ideally suited to this.

Would uninstalling the 2.6.0.0 plugin and using the previous one cure the issue for now?

I checked, and it was broken in the previous version too; you need to go back to the 2.5.1 plugin for it to work, so I uploaded those:

• Maxwell_for_SolidWorks-2.5.1-x86.zip
• Maxwell_for_SolidWorks-2.5.1-x64.zip

You will need to uninstall the 2.6.0 plugin before installing 2.5.1.
