JD,

I am using 2.0.6 plugin and studio 2.0.3. It seems that when I have instances checked in the plugin and I open in studio they show up in the viewport and when I hit render. The problem is that they dont show up in the instance object list, and also when i reposition the model the instances just stay where they are at. There is no way for me to move them with the rest of the model. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

Are you selecting the source object? The instances list only shows instances of the currently-selected object. And, I don't believe that moving the source object is supposed to have any effect on the position of its possible instances -- to move them, you would need to switch to instances mode (the blue ball in the toolbar), select the source object in the object list, then select its instances in the instances list -- they should get a manipulator in the viewport, with which you can move them.

Grain of salt, though...I haven't used this aspect of Studio much lately, so maybe there are some tricks that I'm not aware of. I think it was being discussed earlier this week in the main Maxwell forum.

Hmmm. If thats the way to do it how would you move for example a car around your scene that has one actual wheel and 3 instanced. Can you select objects and instances at the same time?

In that case you would have to move the object wheel first, and then the 3 instances. Would make it easier if you just instance all 4 wheels, hide the real object and move them. Or if you can, merge the whole car geometry and using multi material so you can just instance one car and move it.
