I am trying to apply a scatter extension in the Rhino plug in and am coming up against an issue.

In the Rhino plug-in the only option for defining the object to scatter is uploading an mxs file:

In Maxwell studio it allows you to upload or select within the file any type object:

Why is this? Am I overlooking a window or tab to select and upload other objects to Rhino? Also, is it possible to use control points in Rhino to define the density of the scatter or do I need to use a density map?

Many thanks,
Andrew

For various reasons, Maxwell Scatter is indeed implemented in the plugin solely in terms of MXS files. Regarding scatter density, Maxwell Scatter is an extension to the render engine itself, and it defines scatter density in terms of a texture map.
Will there be a Maxwell Render 6 ?
