V3 Fun

I started to play around with V3 a bit. Looking really good so far. The only thing I was not able to use properly were procedurals.
I've read that you'd need to use the maxwell material editor for that at the moment, in the plugins it is not supported. So I created a material in the material using a simple procedural.

The only way to get this mxm to work is using the linked mxm mode, right?
There is no possiblity to show the texture in the viewport?
And it only renders directly in maxwell not in fire?

Or is there a different way to use it, because this makes the feature not really very user friendly at the moment.

You have it about right (need to use MXED, link MXM, can't display in the viewport), and yes, they are not especially easy to use at the current time. Due to the (future) V3 roadmap, it was not realistic to implement procedurals in plugin material editors at this time.

Sorry, but I can't really speculate on a timeframe.
