I seem to always start post by apologizing for my ignorance, but...

I cannot seem to find the Maxwell Material Preview .mxs for downloading and installing. I believe I read somewhere that it was available?
Also, instructions for set-up and/or use?

I'm not sure which preview you're referring to, but as for setup, the scenes shown in the material editor Preview Scene drop-down are the MXS files found in the /preview folder in MAXWELL2_ROOT (usually C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell 2). An MXS used for a preview scene is the same as any other MXS, it just makes sure to use the name "preview" for the material which will be previewed -- the plugin loads the MXS into its render engine, overwrites this "preview" material whenever you change a parameter, and re-renders the scene.

At the top under the explanation of the gallery you can find a link to the Maxwell Standard Material Scene...the one used in the materials gallery.
