Hi Jeremy
When using 'cached meshes' and first rendering out a region, he always renders that region, even if I want to render the whole image. Is that possible?
Cheers, Kami

At least for now, that is just a limitation, and you will have to do a fresh export after region rendering.

Hi Jeremy
I've got one question concerning linked mxm. When I import some old materials into the scene and then want to save it at a different location as linked mxm's, I go to Options > Save as mxm and save it to the new folder. It then asks me if I want to set the material to linked Mode (which I want) and it then loads the data from the old mxm, not the one I just saved. So I have delete the mxm link and load the saved mxm again. Then it asks me again if I want to link the mxm. And if I say yes, it loads the new data, but does not link the mxm. Now I check the "MXM Link" again. And it again loads the data from the mxm but now checks the MXM Link-tick. The border is now orange meaning, that the mxm in the file is not corresponding with the external mxm. Then I go to Options > Update Linked mxm and overwrite the mxm on the disc again ... now my border is green.
Am I doing something wrong there or is this really the way to go? because I find it very confusing

Cheers
Christoph

I'll take a look -- a couple of days ago, I found a problem in this area, but I'm not sure if it covers everything you said.

Hi Jeremy
I've got a request concerning fire:
When I use it for finding the ideal camera, I have to switch to the top view quite often to fine tune the camera points. In fire it then jumps to the top view which is a huge disadventage because I can't see my camera changes in fire camera window anymore.
I tried to avoid that by locking the fire to the perpective viewport, but then it does not change the fire view, if I change the current camera points, because it is locked to the camera state from before. In my opinion fire should be locked to the viewport and change if the viewport changes ...
Would that be possible for a future release?
Thanks,
Christoph

I'm not sure if that's possible, but I'll check it out.

Please check this again in 2.7.25 -- I did a bunch of work here, and it should now be working how you requested.
