Grass question

How do I apply the grass to an object in rhino. I am confused. In studio I can just drag the modifier to the object and works fine, but in rhino, I don't see how to do this? Any ideas or help will be much appreciated..

If I right click on the grass extension, I only get

new grass extension
clone extension
remove selected
remove all
sort order

and I can't drag and drop the extension on the object.

thanks.
:D

when you dbl click the extension, there is a drop-down menu where you assign it to an existing material. ;)

Currently, you cannot drop an Extension directly on objects in the viewport. How it works is: if you select the object and look in Object Properties > Maxwell, you will find that there is an Extensions list there; in the list, you can create a new Extension, reference an existing Extension, or drag/drop an Extension from Scene Manager > Extensions or Database Manager > Extensions.

I seem to be missing the extensions folder? So I dont have MaxwellGrass.mxx , do I need to download seperately?

No, it is not a separate download -- if you have installed Maxwell Render 2.7 (not the plugin, but Maxwell Render itself), then you should have the grass .mxx files (there are more than one: MaxwellGrass.mxx, MGrassP.mxx, and MGrassH.mxx) in your Maxwell /extensions folder.
