Latest Rhino 5 update - Nov. 5th 2011 mess up the textures

I think I've got the confirmation that the latest release of Rhino 5 is messing up the texture application.
Tiling and U-V orientation.

Apparently, even when you get a proper visual feedback (appying a tileable texture by planar mapping or box mapping) it will result in an incosistent mapping in the actual rendering.

The only way to get rid of it is to apply surface texturing and to teak the tiling and orientation on it. It will work.

Yes, surface mapping is the only mapping I find to be predictable in Rhino 5 at this time.

is this a rhino5 problem? or is the 2.6-plugin only supporting surface mapping at the moment?
sorry, I'm completely not up to date since I was away for 2 weeks... :D

The plugin works as designed in V4, so yes, this is a V5 issue. Just doing various things in V5, I can see that there is some deep work being done in the viewport code in the last couple of builds.
