renderedshadows problem

Hi,
First up I have to admit to being a Parallels User and am running rhino in Windows 7 on a Mac. I know this is generally frowned upon.
I am having a slight problem with the RenderedShadows view in Rhino. The shadows are there, but don't match the camera view and move about independently when I move the camera. This might have nothing to do with Maxwell, but I thought I would ask. Is anyone else getting this.
It's not a big deal as it used not to work at all (due to parallels and my mac). Now it works but not as it should do.
Cheers,
Glassbathroom

Hi polynurb,
That's a new one on me. I tried it but it didn't have any effect.
Thanks,

....reading your first post again.. looks like you just forgot to enable "show sun in viewport" via maxwell plugin option?
if the shadows change with camera, they are coming from the openGL settings in your current display mode.

Thanks polynurb,
No sorry, this is not the problem. The issue still exists regardless of the sun toggle.

As far as shadows in the viewport go, the plugin doesn't do anything that you can't do yourself -- it just puts a directional light in the scene, and points it in the proper direction. So, you should easily be able to rule out any plugin involvement: build a very simple test scene, just a cube, a plane upon which to cast some shadows, and a light to cast them. Once you've created a scene which clearly shows the problem, I'd recommend posting about it on the Rhino newsgroup: include the .3DM, a description of the scenario (don't forget to tell them there that you're on parallels; also include any other relevant info, i.e. what type/age of mac, graphics card info if any, etc.), and screenshots of what it looks like on your machine.

Hi JD,
Thanks. Yes, I have done a little more routing about and I was beginning to think it can't be related to Maxwell. I will do as you suggest.
Thanks,
