..do work with 2.5.01,
but when rotating/moving the created block, the lights don't move with it!
i can copy/orient the block, but no manipulation after that.
thanks,
daniel

sorry i missed that.. the spotlights actually never made it inside the block. rhino doesn't like it.
hmm.. difficult to distribute fixtures that are subject to change.

I don't think you can put a light into a block definition at all. If you're importing a file as a block, maybe any lights in the file will come along, but I suppose that's a special case -- I think they'll be imported as normal, and not actually be part of the block definition.

yep. they just don't wanna go in there..
i just posted this, cause it'd be quite essential, to have a final IES solution which allows to place IES sources within a block.
looks like rhino is not very easy going in this case..
thanks,
daniel

I have this exact problem.
Did you try MXS references instead? I did, and can import them and get the IES light to follow. However, When I rotate the proxy object refering to the MXS reference, the light does not seem to rotate. The point cloud with other geometry aswell do rotate though.

I can confirm that behavior, but I can't say whether it's a bug or a limitation.
