I know I should post this in the Rhino forum....

Since my migration to Windows 7 I am having difficulty using the Rhino - Screencapturetofile command. I use this command a lot to illustrate concepts to clients but now just get the Viewport name and then a black screen. Have any of you experienced the same issue... and if so how did you fix it?
Thanks!

Seems to be working fine here; I checked on Rhino 4 & Rhino 5. It could easily be graphics card-dependent though, I suppose.

Thanks JD - I have a pretty good card (Nvidia GTx 460) so I will have to look into those settings... my stupid old ATI 512 Mb card seems to be fine :)

Btw, there is no real Rhino forum right? Just that dusty old newsgroup no?

Yeah, but I like it fine -- it's easy to keep tabs on what's going on if you use a newsgroup reader.

say do you by any chance know a NG reader that can be run off an usb-stick?
i am usually at different computers, and it kept me from the hassle of setting it up multiple times..

Yep, I've used it some, but its very inaccessible for new users. And plus, for some weird reason I can't access news servers through our firewall here at the office.

@polynurb: no, I don't know of anything like that; I'm just using Windows Live Mail.

:D I honestly can not understand why people prefer forums over newsgroups.
Apart from just one feature (searchability) Newsgroups, while older, are clearly the far superior format imo.
So my OT question would go in the opposite direction:

Is there some Addon for Thunderbird out which allows reading/posting in Forums via Newsreader?
That's something I'd really like to have. There used to exist such a Tool but I never got it to work
properly and it got discontinued.

Also the Adobe-Forums have kind of a dual interface - can get acccessed by Forum GUI and via Email
(at least for answering in threads you already contributed to).

What would help at least a bit was a RSS-feature for the Maxwell-Forums so that one could see what's
going on without actually having to visit the Forum and log in. Is this maybe available?

cheers, Holger

...maybe you can use a portable edition of windows mail or outlook express

edit: I have read about it and I'm afraid repackaging of this kind of software is illegal :? , but maybe you can use a portable thunderbird version

edit: I have test it and it works
