Just a quick question....

What are your rhino mesh settings in file properties to achieve a smooth output for maxwell, and camera settings in an architectural scene?

I have read the rhino topic here: http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/meshfaq

it seems a multifaceted topic.

for an idea of scale see here...

Are you referring to the kinked meshes of the light pole? Are you aware that you can control render mesh settings on an object-by-object basis, by using Object Properties > Render Mesh Settings > Custom Mesh > Adjust...? I don't think there is really such a thing as a single, perfect document-wide setting; it is very object-specific. For example, I believe that kinked pipes is one of the recurring complaints, assuming that to be what you were referring to with the image. The basic meshing parameters are not all too difficult (about half are pretty abstract, but the others are labeled in a relatively self-explanatory way), especially if you play with them interactively with a particular object.
