Hello ,
what's about the boys of "big paves'"? Caryjames, Mihai,Ivox3,Ricardo,... :) ?
I coulnd't work with Maxwell for mounths but now I hope to play a little with Mw 2.5
There are good news about Rhino 5(64)+Maxwell 2.5 and pave's jewellry? There is a simple "decalogue" to simplify the old difficulties:
It's all very very complicated, I've forgotten things...heavy files move very slowly, blue reflections, very long times of renderings (and "Fires" too), hundreds of objects no intersectings, little quantity of meshes, mxi emitter, brillant block ( Does anyone work with Rhinojewell and his bloks? Is it better to work with New MW2.5 materials and forget the old ones? I don't see dispersion in the new material editor )...or do I have to search all the old discussions and study them :) ?
Ah.. I have to buy another computer ( icore 960 or amd 6 cores...) to add to my Cuad and one node license to work in network. A good Geoforce too!
Alls say me to go to VRay!!! But I don't want! Viva Maxwell !

I have start no very well
If only 2-3 brillants intersect metal (with hundreads of brillants) this ruin(2-3 more gray/strange brillants) a render?

A-dielectric material, mxi emitter(white circles and background black) + image based (mxi desaturate)...

B-diamond IOR material, mxi emitter(white circles and background black) + image based (mxi desaturate)...

C-diamond IOR material, mxi emitter(white circles and background black) ...

D-diamond IOR material, image based (mxi desaturate)...

This is only 5-6 SL and I don't know after 18-20...1 day (???)

Every set is unsadisfactory!!! The old problems: Blue dominance, brillants generally too gray( no white),...quality only with "a lot of time"...
I must to experiment to apply diamonds / blocks with Rhinojewell (...)

Fire no help to estimate final quality of brillants I think

The intersections ( 3 litttle curves ) are "near" the bad stones( red) in render no in the "same" place ?!?
To obtain this precision (NO INTERCCTIONS!NEVER!) take a lot of time. The other programs of rendering have the same problem?
