Texture display glitch

I set a repetition in the surface mapping of a simple rectangular surface, and I get the proper display in render preview only when I select the object, or even another object.
Then if I change the view, or scratch my nose, the repetition will not show anymore, and the texture map will be spread on the whole surface.
The file :

I used the material "rocks by Christian982" from the MXM gallery.
Cheers,

I'm not seeing this here. If it is as touchy as it sounds, I'd tend to be looking how your video card is getting along with the display options for your viewport. I have had some touchiness in the V5 builds with the per-pixel lighting switch. I just don't see where the plugin would be active enough to be making changes like that - you'd generally have to be modifying the value of some parameter in the texture editor, or something of that nature, for the plugin to be messing with the viewport.

Hi Jeremy,
Well, yes I could update my graphics card driver again (remember last time ?).
Yet, I see that the problem disappears after I close and re-open the file.
I guess that's the magic thing : close and re-open.
Oh well...

I would tend to think it more related to the V5-ness of your setup...stuff is changing build-to-build in quite a few areas.

I'm V5 to the bones now...
But you know, I've had my share of funky texture mapping bugs in V4 too.
The texture scale would randomly go back to 1, unless I tickled any of the mapping parameters.
A tiny change would "remind" Rhino to mapp the texture properly.
Those were really tough times...
