have to restart Rhino to successfully export instances

....sorry if we've gone over this before, but have had my head in construction documents for a few months here, but need to get back to finish up my renders. I've got a lot of trees/bushes to put in, and will be using instances (hundreds and hundreds of them). However, when I place them, they don't export out to Maxwell, but they do successfully export and render if I save the file and restart Rhino. Is this buggie, or ??? Joe

All I can say is that the plugin exports everything that Rhino gives it to export. As usual, the diagnosis would begin in the log window - how many meshes and instances does the plugin think it's supposed to be exporting (that info is logged during the export)? Is the number different before and after doing the save/close/reopen dance?
Other things to check might be:
- is Output > Cache Meshes enabled? Does it make any difference if it's not?
- is the issue totally random, or can you identify any particular sequence of steps that triggers it?
- what about different ways of blocking, i.e. linked, embedded, etc. - does that seem to be a factor?

hmmm, just checked it out again from a "fresh" start...seems to be working fine now. I'll keep your "things to check" on hand in case I have some issues with this later.

Hi Josephus, JD,
I've been noticing this too.
Rhino's handling of blocks has much to be desired, indeed.
