#328977
I have a strange problem with the materials. After doing a Boolean operation on a solid, on whichever surface or area the Boolean happened the color when the solid is rendered is different.

I have a solid with a white material, and the same solid with a Boolean and same white material but the second solid looks different the color especially, almost like a gray color where the boolean happend.

strange..

any tips?

This happened with the new update.

cheers

By latest update, I assume you mean you are using Rhino V5? I tried here with the August 12 WIP, and it appears to be working fine -- whether I boolean union, subtract, or intersect, the results have the material of either one of the input objects or the other.

So, if you can post a very specific set of steps by which I can reproduce the problem, I'll take a look.

never mind is my own imagination. I do noticed in this version when the sun hits a flat surface on the floor at 180 degrees the color difference vs hitting it on a 90 degree plane has drastically changed more. I just have to get used to it.
