Bug in the betaplugin?

Please see the attached scene:

If the "sphere" has the red sphere material, it does not show up in the render. If I remove the material, the sphere is rendered.

It does look good in the "FIRE".

Any thoughts?

Tor M

Another thing is the "hide object in shadow"

This is the rendered image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1wfqpux7i3s1c ... 2.png?dl=0
This is the shadow channel: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sxudcdwn1l1jz ... 2.png?dl=0

I reckon its to noisy to be useful. Is this a bug, or just some parameters I haven“t figured out?

Cheers,
Tor M

Thanks, this scene uncovers an issue regarding initialization of a volumetric which has had no material applied; the workaround is to apply a material to the volumetric. Regarding noise in the shadow channel, I don't know -- that would be a question for the main forum, or tech support.
