feeling stupid like always with maxwell but can't see any image in fire when I set my environment to image based. I have HDRS images on backgrounds, reflection, refraction, and illumination. I have my location and time set to Los angeles in the USA at noon but nothing is working. what am I doing wrong???

It's not possible to say much without seeing your Cinema file (you can send it to jeremy at nextlimit dotcom if you like), but I'd first check the camera exposure, and the intensity values set for the image based channels.

I'm not seeing anything here yet -- in case it is to large for email, you should be able to create a very simple model from scratch, which also demonstrates the same behavior, and send that.
