I downloaded a DWG model of a chair from Gloster Furniture and dropped a denim material on it, expecting it to render like denim. But instead the cushions came out looking shiny. I can't fathom it.

Please provide a copy (jeremy at nextlimit dotcom) of your C4D model, and any MXM files and textures it references.
