Hi all,

Is it possible for the plugin to read if the sun tag is enable or not, when is enable the plugin use it as the sun (as is working so far) but if is disable the sun tag the plugin read that light as a light source?

Right now I have to delete the sun tag in order for the plugin to see it as a light source and not as a Sun.

Cheers
JC

Sure, that was just an oversight -- I've changed the code for the next build.

If you put a sun tag on a light, the plugin will use that light to set the position of the sun. When this happens, the plugin does not use that light to create a light in Maxwell. What JC wants is that if the sun tag is disabled, the plugin will export the light.

so if I understand well, this light behave as a sun without a sky.
you can mix this light with a hdri environment to catch more shadow, no ?

It's nothing special, we are just talking about a normal Cinema light with a sun tag. To enable you to sync your sun in Cinema with the sun in Maxwell, when you have such a light + sun tag, the plugin reads it and overrides the date/time/lat/lon in the Scene Object's Environment tab. If you take the sun tag off the light, then it would be translated into geometry during export, as normal.
