Environment/Image for BG display affected by lighting

Hi there

I used the environmental lighting with hdri images for refraction/lighting/reflection and another for display as a background (jgp converted to hdri; screen mapped).
I find that this BG image is affected by the lighting of the scene which is not what I expect or want since I want to adopt the lighting of the scene to that BG image.

Is there a work around?

Cheers

I'm not sure what you mean by this. In what way is the Background channel affected by the scene? I only find its brightness being affected by the Background Channel Intensity, and the Intensity Modifier parameter.

Hi JD

I had another look at this topic and I find that it behaves perfectly ok. I should just not use one single hdri in the BG channel and set the intensity multiplier for that cause it changes also the exposure of the BG image. Instead if I need to tweak reflection/illumination etc. strength I would want to set up each channel with the same hdri and set the parameters as needed.
