Maxwell for Cinema 4D
Version 2.6.0.0 Release Notes

This version introduces support for Maxwell Render's new Hair and MXS Referencing systems, as well as multi-substep motion blur.

Changes:
  • Compiled for compatibility with Maxwell Render 2.6.
  • Added support for multi-substep motion blur.
  • Added support for exporting motion-blurred instances.
  • Added support for instancing of MXS References.
  • Added support for motion blur on MXS References.
  • Removed restrictions on instances with emitter materials.
  • Parallel cameras are now exported using long-lens approximations.
  • Simplified the Scene Name output format dropdown.
  • Added 'Open output folder' button for convenience.
  • Split 'Options' group into 'Export Options' and 'Motion Blur & Animation'.
  • Added support for Separate/Comosite render channel output.
  • Added support for the Normals and Position render channels.
  • Added support for specifying formats for the various render channels.
  • Changed Multilight checkbox to Intensity/Color/Disabled drop-down.
  • Added Quality parameter for rendering with Production/Draft engines.
  • Added Composite/Separate/Disabled MXI Output parameter.
  • Added new Sky Intensity and IBL Intensity Multiplier parameters.
  • IBL UI re-worked to support new per-channel illumination choices.
  • Output groups reorganized to more closely match Maxwell Studio.
  • Added support for the export of multiple UV channels per object.
  • Enhanced support for rendering via Cinema 4D's command line.

any info or eta on the native particle support/ realflow plugin particles rendering through cinema 4d ?

No, not yet. May I ask for your opinion on how you would envision these (they are two separate things) working inside of Cinema?

Well, as I understood it, loading Particle bins via the RealFlow Particle Importer converts these into thinking particles internally anyways, right ?

else maybe teaming up with Peter Horvath on this issue makes more sense ?

It's not in the downloads portion of the portal yet. Am I missing something?

Hi all,

I noticed that the intensity multiplier for IES is missing from the Material Editor, and would be great to have the lights preset like in the MXED.

Would be great to able to render realflow meshes with their motionblur info properly converted into maxwell;)

When I check the Pack and option, Cinema don“t pack the referenced .mxm

Cinema R12 Mac Os 10.6 and Maxwell 2.6

Question: why use a referenced MXM, if you want to copy it locally with the MXS? It seems to me like that would defeat the purpose.
