textures paths are not working with latest cinemaxwell?

Hi JDHill,
i have done many tests with recent scenes done in cinemaxwell and i can say that the textures paths are not working right now with the last plugin...something is wrong?
lots of materials (textures) are showing the red icons in the material editor of c4d (missing texture path)
i try to reset the path in the material editor but c4d is getting slow, very slow to set them up! what's going on?
maybe i'm doing something wrong, or is it just a conflict with older materials?
just to let you know, i haven't got this problem with maxwell2.0.

Or is it the network path i use for all my textures?

I don't believe I've changed any related code, and it seems to be working fine here, so I'll need some more specific details about how to reproduce this here. Firstly, do the paths really exist, or are they wrong and you are counting on the plugin to fix them? Secondly, have you added these locations to the search paths in plugin preferences? Lastly, just so I know, what OS are you on, and which version of Cinema?
Speaking generally, slow speed with network paths will not really be a plugin issue, but rather more of an OS one. Already, the plugin does extra work to try to minimize this by not hitting network paths (specifically, UNC paths) which have already been found not to exist. That is really a side issue though -- what I am interested in here is finding out why you have bad paths in your materials, and why the plugin is not automatically correcting them.

yes the paths of my textures exist and i use c4d11.5 or 12 with win7.
concerning the paths in the plugin preferences, i have changed some of them, and it solved the problem!...strange anyway as it worked in mx2.0.
but i got some problems with one path, here is an example:
wds_002_c_90°.jpg = this is not working when i save and reopen in c4d, i have to reset always in material editor to get it working.
wds_002_c_90.jpg = this is working fine, it seems that the plugin don't like some of the characters?

Hi JDHill,
could you also please check if the Maxwell plugin/material editor is working correctly when "ä", "ö", "ü" is used in the path or file name of textures? I think I had a crash of C4D with Maxwell last week that might be related to this topic.
