Hi all,
I´m playing with the new version and is awesome :) but I found a little issue that is a little annoying.

If an object doesn´t have a material apply the render fails to launch:
ERROR: - Object Sphere_m1 has triangles without material. Use override or default material to allow rendering.
ERROR: - Data preprocess failed. Render cannot continue

If I click on: export scene and open it in Maxwell Studio, the render launch without problems no matter if there are materials apply or not.

In order to avoid this I have to apply a default material in the engine tab.

I know that the current plugin is not fully updated for MWR 2.5, but maybe the developers can keep on track in this issue in order to not drag it in the plugin update.

Cheers

Can you reproduce this reliably, or does it only happen with a particular scene? I had a report of it from a tester, but I was not able to reproduce it, so if you can send me a scene where it happens we can take a look and see what's wrong. Also, which OS & Cinema versions are you using?

This should be a problem with the engine, not the plugin, because the plugin is not supposed to assign a material to objects which have none -- that would defeat the purpose of the user-specified default material system.

I had the same problem with c4d 11.532, then downloaded the new plugin.
The problem now is different. During launch of c4d i get the error message, that plug isn't compatible with 64 bit mode and that the "Maxwell plugin 'Maxwell Material' could not be registered (plugin is too old)"

Running MacPro with OS X 10.6.4 .

cheers
