.hdr apllied to a sphere in cinema is not working.

It shows just black. ibl as environment works great. Any ideas?




cinea 4d R11. maxwell 2. OS 10.6.

Exactly how do you apply the HDR to the sphere -- Cinema material, Maxwell material? If Cinema, how is it built? Is the camera inside or outside of the sphere? Would be best if you send me (jeremy at nextlimit dot com) a simple scene, in Cinema format, which shows the problem.

Just select your Kugel object, and then use the Cinema command Functions > Reverse Normals. Maxwell emitters emit light in the direction of the normals of the mesh to which they are applied; since your camera is inside of your Kugel sphere, you cannot see the light emitted by the HDRI unless you reverse its normals so that they point inwards.
