when using lots of Xrefs instead of render instances - for every Xref the material is calculated on its own.
So when using the same Xref 50 times I have 50 different materials that contain the same information (f.e. the same wood texture with 50 different names) - can this be changed so the Xrefs are checked for doubles of itself and then used as instance thereby reducing the time to calculate materials and also the need for discspace for materials?

Otherwise it would also be handy to have a switch to disable the materials in the Xrefs for rendering a clay without having all materials calculated and overwritten after the calculation... (when using the overwrite command)

So, is this a known issue?
