Hi everybody!

got a problem with the latest plugin for Maxwell v2 in Cinema 4D R11 under Mac OS X 10.5.8. After starting Cinema 4D the plugin doesn't load! :?

Has anyone experienced this problem and maybe found a solution for it?

Thanks a lot

cheers

nothing when starting cinema in 32 bit mode, and in 64 bit mode it states that both of the plugin versions 32 and 64 bit are not suited for running 64 bit mode.
that's what's really strange..

Yes it is -- I've never heard of that before. I think I'd try to start from a clean slate -- trash the plugin folder, the folder where you're downloading to, and empty the trash. Then I'd reboot, re-download, and try again. After rebooting, it would be good to open/close Cinema in both 32- and 64-bit mode and make sure it's not trying to load anything plugin-related. The second point in your last post suggests that OSX is confused about filenames, or possibly that the download is corrupt.

Can you post the exact error messages that you see in the console in 64-bit mode?

Then, if you look in the plugin folder, you will see that there are actually four plugins - two for Windows and two for OSX. You can delete the Windows ones (Maxwell for Cinema 4D.cdl & Maxwell for Cinema 4D.cdl64). The remaining two are the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) OSX .dylibs. Remove the 32-bit plugin from the folder and put it somewhere else temporarily. Then try starting Cinema in 64-bit mode and see if the error message is the same.

I've never seen that; could you zip the two .dylib files and send them here so I can try to duplicate the issue? Probably best to email them separately; my email here is jeremy at nextlimit dot com.
