I've modeled a curvy chair which requires a wood material,
I would like to use bodypaint for texturing the chair. I've rarely used bodypaint but have resolved to understand it with this chair project..a concern of mine is trying to create a realistic wood material. Anyone using bodypaint care to share an example of a texture created with bodypaint and rendered in maxwell?

maybe this helps you out with the first steps in bodypaint. Maxon video first steps

(it's the only advice I can give as I'm not used to it as well. I think for maxwell the texture has to be baked before rendering - but not sure. JD should have an answer for you.)

The plugin will render the BodyPaint textures out to disk for Maxwell prior to rendering, as it does with any other procedural texture, so make sure that you have not disabled procedurals in the Scene's 'Cinema' tab. Also, keep in mind that demo versions of Cinema prohibit the rendering of textures to disk, so it will not work in that scenario.
