ID cpu

Hi all,
I been playing with the demo of version 2 and is really great (nice job NL team), now I would like to know if is possible to introduce in the plugin an Idcpu number field like in Maxwell Render application (I hate those command lines  ) and the possibility to append that Idcpu to the file name as an option in order to keep track of the Id in each image.

Cheers
JC

I don't think there is anything in the SDK for idcpu, so the plugin does not provide any way of working with it or associating it with output names. So I would have to introduce a new plugin option for doing that. For the time being, you can halfway-accomplish what you want by by typing -idcpu:1234 in Scene > Engine > Command Line, then appending _1234 or similar to what you have entered in Scene > Output > Name. That's not as convenient as what you want, but as the plugin easily allows copying Scene objects, it might possibly work all right for now.

Thanks for your response :D , that is the method that I apply everytime (manual one), so now seeing this c4d sdk limitation as many others you have made miracle with this plugin  so far.

Just wondering, why you wish to keep track of the images using the idcpu?

I usually do manual MXI merge and some times happen that I render the image again and I forgot to change the ID cpu and the merge fail.

That's strange though, the IDCPU should be initialized to a random value each time you render. It needs to be random for the merging to work. I just tried rendering two versions of the same scene, saving the other one with a different name to get two mxi files and the merging worked ok. In any case, if you're rendering the image again you just have open Maxwell and go to File>Resume MXI and load the MXI. It will resume correctly providing nothing has changed in your MXS file.

You are right, everytime I launch the render there is a different ID, maybe because this topic is old, it was a problem with the V1 and is not present here in V2. I guess there is no point anymore for this wish. :D
Thanks for your time.
