Left and Right eyes combined in render

Hello!
We have been using Arnold's lens shader, which combines the left and right eyes into a single image on render. Ive noticed that I need to toggle the drop down in the camera attributes to left or right, but would it be possible to have a third option which would combine both eyes into a single image? As strange as it sounds, it had become increasingly efficient to render that way.

thanks in advance,
Matt Wilson

If you go to the Maxwell Render section in the attribute editor for the camera, you will find a "lens type" dropdown. This provides two stereo options: "Lat-Long Stereo" and "Fish Stereo". This option is also available for the center camera in a stereo camera rig, if you want to set it up that way. Is this what you're after?

innnnnntersting! was there ever a bug in the plugin related to this? Right now, when I switch to center, I basically get the default camera position, but only monoscopic.

are you saying that it should be giving me both eyes in one single frame, (like this: https://support.solidangle.com/display/ ... amera+Node)

Thanks!!

No, it's not possible to render both eyes at once, you still need to make two renders. This is a limitation in the engine and it's unlikely to change in the very near future.
