Hello
I am using Maya 2012, and when using Maxwell Referenced Materials, there is no way to know the name of those materials, except opening the materials settings.
They show as Maxwell Referenced Material (Maxwell Referenced Material)
I guess that this was a mistake, and they should show like this:
Maxwell Referenced Material (sea water)
Anyway if you are going to change it, I find the names too large, and the most significative part of the name (in the example is Sea Water) stays hidden in the Hipershade window. Perhaps inverting the names it would be much better, something like the following:
Sea Water (Maxwell Referenced Material)
Thanks in advance
