rather out of topic but... a question about Maya

Hello,

I know this is a Maxwell forum, but I have a problem with Maya, and hope somebody have the answer to it.
I used the MERGE VERTICES TOOL in Maya 7, where I had the option to decide the maximun distance to merge vertices in a given mesh.
Now in Maya 2012, the tool has changed and I have not that option anymore. I wonder how to do it again...
I use Autocad to create models, and export them to 3ds, which are imported to Maya, and sometimes they need their vertex to be merged, to show a smooth surface.

Thanks in advance!

Ernesto

hi,

if you have seperate meshes, you need to combine them first, then use EDIT MESH -> MERGE

the MERGE DISTANCE can be set in the MERGE OPTION BOX before or
after the MERGE in the Attribute Editor...

hope this helps
