Maxwell Render | Official public forum

My scene was rendering fine and then I tried to add a particle emitter in maya and get the following error when rendering in Maxwell:

ERROR: - Data preprocess failed. Render cannot continue
[18/March/2013 15:52:40] Ending render process..

ERROR: - Render Failed

I deleted the emitter but it looks like the particle shader is still there and I'm wondering if that's what is causing the error. I go to delete the the shader and Maya says: // Error: Non-deletable node 'particleCloud1' cannot be deleted.


Any ideas?
