Maya Batch Render - Virtual Memory Too Low ?

When I submit a Maxwell job via Maya batch render I keep getting complaints from Windows XP-64 about having insufficient virtual memory.

I have a lot of RAM.

As a workaround I am exporting to the Maxwell standalone.

Are you using 64-bit Maya? Does it happen with any scene, or only with a particular scene? How many frames are you exporting? Does it render any frames before it issues the error, or does it fail at the first frame?

It fails 70% - 80% of the way through the first frame.

64-bit Maya

exporting 79 frames

So far I have had no occasion to batch render anything else in 2.5

Also the batch render script in the standalone seems to ignore a bunch of stuff set in Maya and exported and mxs files.

It seems to ignore the resolution, for example, and render everything as 256x256 pixel squares

ok - I found the place in the script to edit the SL and resolution, so that's solved.

What resolution are you rendering? Do you have Multilight enabled, and if yes, is it in intensity mode, or color mode? Any other render channels enabled besides color? How much memory do you have? What's the memory usage of maxwell.exe and mayabatch.exe when the render fails? What exactly happens when it fails, does Maxwell crash, does Maya crash, or do they hang? Any chance you could send me the scene at mihnea.balta@gmail.com (or through a file hosting service), so I can have a look?
