a)I dont see the Draft mode option maxwell render globals to render animation or image via Fire engine in main renderer can you add that to next plugin.. (OHH : have a "render Draft" option right there in the FIRE window! next to the viewport options)

b)also it was mentioned that in studio under environment there is option to save scene lighting (im guessing including emiters and sky) as HDR/EXR file.. can that be added to maya plugin as well or is it there and I dont see it..

c)FIRE renderer starts to rerender scene (not voxeliz but just resample) even if all I do is SELECT another piece of geometry(or even just selecting different tabs in attribute editor).. Is this something that can be avoided? as it would be nice for FIRE to continue rendering if all I am doing is just selecting things to look at their properties.. ( maybe for now the solution can be just to render off a DRAFT render of current scene(request a)..so it can continue to render as I hunt around maya and look at attribute properties)

Yes, that will be added in the next build.

We'll add this as well. Note that it doesn't save emitters, it just saves the sky as a HDR file.

It shouldn't do it every time you select an object, but it will happen and we can't really avoid it. For some reason, Maya sometimes thinks you're changing an object when you select it, and it tells us so. We haven't found a reliable way to tell between actual changes and bogus changes, so the render will occasionally restart for no reason.

A)draft mode: until button gets implemented in FIRE window I have written "-rs:0" in the additional flags field of maxwell render globals..I will use that for now..

B) thanks for including that in future will save step of saving as mxs and opening studio to get hdr of sky if needed

C)ya.. i notice that sometimes as I select things via OUTLINER it doesn't always restart FIRE render..but its hit or miss.. I understand ..so if I need to do a lot of selections and want a FIRE rendering to continue i will shoot off a Draft render via render command flags...

thanks!
