I have never experienced this crash.
Maxwell Fire works well, but when I hit the render button, maxwell crash.
I don't know what's the problem. :-(

Does this happen with any scene, or just one in particular ?
If it happens with any scene, can you tell me what should I do to reproduce the crash? Or could you send me a scene that I can use to get this crash ? (my email is radu@griffinlair.com)

I'm checking my scene.
It's very strange.

1. With full scene, always maxwell crash.
2. I thought that some objects are problem, so I hide and rendered with successfully. OK.
3. So, I rendered that suspicious objects only, but I found no problem. It rendered. ???
4. Now I un-hide them and rendered again. -> Sometime crash sometime no. :(

I have to check more scene and report again.
Because this time is my first render using 3.0.30 plugin.

If you've upgraded to Maxwell 3.1.1.0 from the early builds page, you also need to upgrade the Max plug-in from the same location: http://www.maxwellrender.com/betas/plugin/4.

Ok, I see that 3.1.1.0 was published to portal.nextlimit.com as stable. We will soon publish a new version of the Max plug-in to match it, but in the mean time you should use 3.1.7 from the early builds site.

Solved
I had a maxstart.max with my preferences. I have deleted it and all ok.
