Small viewport glitch with OpenGL

Hi,

I'm using 3dsmax 2012 with latest plugin. Viewport is using OpenGL.

It happens quite often that when using referenced mxm's, some with textures some without, the ones without texture display a random texture used in other active materials. This only happens if "Show map in viewport" is active but it's a bit confusing sometimes. Render is fine.

Probably we can only blame it to 3dsmax code but anyway I wanted you to know.

The OpenGL viewport code in Max hasn't been maintained in years. It's slow and buggy; you should switch to one of the DirectX drivers (D3D9 or Nitrous), it will work much better.

We'll look into this issue, but it's probably a Max bug.

I don't know why I keep bouncing from one driver to another. For me D3D9 is the slowest and Nitrous seams to be the fastest. But there was something that didn't show in Nitrous like grass strands or something, right? Or maybe it was fixed in latest plugin release?

No, Maxwell grass still doesn't show up in Nitrous, because Autodesk "forgot" to add support for modifiers which draw stuff in the viewport in Nitrous. We can't fix it from our side, we have to wait for them to fix the API.
