using (converting?) 3DS Max materials to render out with MW?

Hi, I'm spending a little time going thru some 3DS Max tutorials, learning the basics to see if I want to switch from C4D, and so far am very pleased. Is there a way to do "quickie" Maxwell renders using the 3DS Max materials?

Joe

"Standard" materials are converted on export, but not the rest.

Not advisable though. They become very generic, flat materials. Better to create new Maxwell materials.

OK thanks, not a problem. I'm much more familiar with creating MW materials anyway. Joe

If you have a nice MW mat library then using import in the max mat editor is fast.
