maxscript in 2012 and maxwellExportMXS function

Is anyone else having trouble using the maxwellExportMXS maxscript function in 2012? It was working fine in 2011 but is showing up as undefined in the listener now.
I'm having the same problem with the maxwellMaterialImport function.

We haven't touched that part of the code in years so I suspect someone from Autodesk did some fixing around the MAXScript code. We'll investigate it, thanks for reporting.

Roger that, I've got the problem here, too. Entering:
yields
in MAX now. It breaks all my export scripts, too

Is there any workaround for this, BTW, in terms of some way to get an MXS written from MaxScript? Our rendering pipe has been shut down by this problem since we upgraded to 2012, so I'm keen on figuring out something to do for a workaround...
