display and selection of maxwell proxys in the viewport

i have problems working with maxwell proxys in max 2011 (plugin v2.5.6, Radeon HD 5770)
it's not possible to select them by clicking in the viewport, i have to use the name selection.
i have many grass instances so it's nearly impossible to select one specific proxy in the list.
the other thing is that not all proxys are displayed when i zoom in - sometimes all of them disappear.
Is this a known issue or is it hardware/driver related? maybe an ati problem?

It could be due to a bounding box problem on them. It would be easier to debug if you could send me a sample scene. Thanks. (

you can select them in the viewport, although it's a blind hit or miss (there's no obvious active selection point) normally i have all proxies split into separate layers. by doing this you can easily isolate a proxy group and do a wide selection lasso and then weed out the ones you don't want selected opposed to going through tens if not thousands of proxies in item list.... if that makes any sense.
ideally you'd be able to select any point for proxy cloud to select proxy..... don't know how much of a bitch that is to program on plugin end, but it would be really helpful....

Yep, sometimes it is hard to predict what you are going to select.

thanks for the replies! so it's not my hardware...
it would be helpful, if this issue could be fixed so that a mxproxy could be manipulated like normal geometry.
Bodgan, i can send you a scene next week, but reading the replies i don't know if this would be really helpful, since you can reproduce this problem with
any mxproxy you make in max.
