Maxwell Render | Official public forum

I am trying to install max plug in 2.1.1 and it is not working.
The install seems to be fine, no errors. When i boot up max, i can select maxwell as the render, and everything looks fine there as well. Until i try to render. When i Hit render, it exports the file and opens up Maxwell render, which then gives me this error
" open mxs file error: C:\document~....\temp\mxs2d.tmp file cannot be read. "

The file name (mxs2d.tmp) keeps changing everytime i try to render. This error happens if i try to launch the render from either Max 2010 or 2011.
reverting back to an earlier max plug-in ie 2.0.24 works fine, but there is no max 2011 support.
If anyone can please help, i would appreciate it..

Make sure you have full admin rights when you install.

Make sure you have the latest Maxwell version as well. That error message usually means the MXS file format has changed and you're using an older version of Maxwell, which cannot understand the files produced by the newer plug-in.
