maxwell material ruins viewport

I already exposed this problem in another topic but as i didnt get any answer im trying with a new post.

Looks like once applyed a maxwell material on any kind of geometry (imported or not) viewport dies... it starts to hide objects, lags when paning or rotating and textures wont appear, making it imposible to work. Cant remeber exactly when it started but could be just after installing latest plugin. Im using a nvidia quadro 4300 which did handle scenes with huge textures and millions of polygons thats why i think its a plugin issue, or could it be a hardaware problem???

please some help folks! anyone experiencing same problems?

In the last topic you mentioned the problem you said something about a link, but I didn't get any email from you (in case you sent one) and nor I see a link posted in the topic. Could you resend the mail or post a link here to a scene file in which you experience the problem? my email is: bogdan.coroi@gmail.com

Ok, you should get an email from me with a zip with 2 scenes inside. But i believe you wont find any diference because the problem starts when i apply the material, viewport works fine when opennig the file, thats why i believe it has something to do with my computer.

Thanks

I'm still playing with your scene trying to get it to broke. I'm pretty sure the problem is not your hardware because some other users reported strange issues with maxwell materials when using hardware shading in viewport. To be sure it's not your hardware's fault, you can disable hardware shading for maxwell materials from Customize Menu->Preferences->Maxwell->Use Hardware shading and restart Max. After that, you won't get the fancy stuff described here and the material will work as Max Stardard Material work, with one active texture in the viewport. You should not experience any disappearing geometry, transparency or half wireframe, half shaded geometry. Let me know how it works.

I have experienced some issues using the high quality Maxwell setting, right click in viewport -> Maxwell Shading Quality.

For this reason, I mostly use the Medium setting. This setting gives me the best performance on my Quadro 4500.

I just updated plugin to latest (2.0.3) for max2009 x 64.

I'm experiencing the same issue. With or without hardware enabled, With low/medium/high viewport quality settings.
Start, restart, shutdown, driver update...

Is there any more info i need to put here?

edit: reinstalled. working just fine now....

I found another extra issue that dissapears unticking "Hardware shading":

Selected faces in shaded mode does not shows in red as it should. It shows ok in wireframe.
