Maxwell makes Max crash

When I render from 3ds max, usually test renders, I have multiple Maxwell Render windows open. While its rendering I continue working on my project in Max but when
I come back to those test renders and I close one them, or all of them, Max very ofter crashes. It's like Maxwell is trying to communicate with Max but because I worked on
the scene and changed some things it cant find those settings back and crashes. But thats just a wild idea..

The weird thing is it doesnt always happen. But its very irritating because max doenst ask if you want a backup-save of the scene.

Is this a familiar bug?

Btw I'm using windows 7

I suspect it has something to do with bringing the rendered image back in Max. You can try to uncheck "Rendered Frame Window" in render output when we'll release the next update for the plugin. Having it unchecked, we'll not read the image back at all and that might workaround the crash.

Thanx! That worked, I tried it yesterday. So that's confirmed.

You do have to remember to do it every time you start a new scene. So i'm hoping the next update will come soon ;)

yep I had the same problem and uncheck "render frame ..." helped

But there is something else. If I use BLOWUP rendering from max, It works just fine, but when I want to get back to VIEW render or just change resolution of render. My Viz2006(max7.0) shut downs with bug report.

Mayby someone have any worflow to avoid this bug?
I know what will hapened so I save my work but this is annoying

thanks in advance

Could you send me the 3dsmax_minidump.dmp file after you have the crash? Max creates it in your %temp% directory. bogdan.coroi@gmail.com
