Crash with new plugin

We have had problems with working in texture display mode in the viewport using the new plugin. I can import a model into max and navigate fine before I add any textures. As soon as I start adding textures, the model becomes slow and often crashes. I can work in wireframe without many issues. Does anyone know settings that may help me work so I can do UV mapping?

Can you make a sample scene on this? Also, can you send me the crash dump file Max generates after the crash? It's named 3dsmax_minidump.dmp and it's located in your %temp% directory.

What video card are you using? Do you have the latest drivers installed?

Looks like I got it to run smoother. I had the old version 1.7 of maxwell installed and then I uninstalled it. It seems to be happier now. Not sure how this could have an effect with a Max plugin though. I have noticed if I use the Maxwell (Ref) material instead of the standard Maxwell material, it will run smoother. Also if I use the standard Maxwell material, selected polygons will not highlight, only with the Ref material.
I am using a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE on a AMD 64 Dual Core 4000 2.01 GHz, with 2 mb Ram.
